A glacier-carved valley and rocky peaks on the road from Manali towards Rohtang Pass

Himachal Tours, Treks & Day Trips

Guided hikes, day trips, paragliding and multi-day road trips across Manali, Shimla, Dharamshala and Spiti.

Himachal’s greatest sights are mostly free — the Ridge in Shimla, the Dalai Lama’s temple, the Triund ridge — but getting to them well is not simple. Mountain roads, permits, fast-changing weather and altitude are exactly where a good local guide or driver pays for themselves.

We have grouped the best GetYourGuide options by where you will be: Manali and the Kullu valley, Shimla, Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj, and the multi-day road trips from Delhi, Chandigarh and Shimla into Kinnaur and Spiti. Tap any card for the live price in your currency — most offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

Booking questions

Frequently asked questions

Should I book Himachal tours in advance?

For May–June, October and the Christmas–New Year period, yes — good guides, Triund camps and Spiti departures fill up. At other times a day or two ahead is usually enough. Most tours on GetYourGuide can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before.

Do tours include the Rohtang permit?

Day trips to Solang, the Atal Tunnel and Sissu do not need the Rohtang permit. If you specifically want Rohtang Pass, check whether the operator arranges the online permit, which is limited per day and not available on Tuesdays.

Are prices per person or per group?

It varies: many hikes and private car tours are priced per group, while shared tours are per person. The live price on GetYourGuide shows exactly what is included for your group size.

What happens if a road closes or the weather turns?

Mountain operators adjust routes for landslides and snow. If a tour cannot run, you are normally offered another date or a full refund — check the cancellation terms on the booking page.
