Himachal.com exists because Himachal Pradesh deserves better than a rushed loop of Shimla and Manali in a traffic jam. It is an independent travel guide to the whole state — the hill stations, the Kullu and Kangra valleys, and the high Himalaya of Lahaul, Spiti and Kinnaur — written to be genuinely useful before you go and while you are there, in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati and Hebrew.
What we cover
- How to reach the mountains from Delhi, Chandigarh and beyond, with realistic journey times.
- Which tours and treks are worth booking, ranked honestly.
- What to see, from Shimla’s Ridge to Spiti’s monasteries.
- Where to stay, so you wake up where you want to be.
- When to come — and what the monsoon, snow and altitude really mean on the ground.
How we research
Information is checked against official sources (Himachal Pradesh Tourism, HRTC, Indian Railways, district administrations), operators and booking platforms, and reviewed regularly. Where things move around — permit rules, fares, pass opening dates — we say so and suggest you check locally, rather than pretending to a precision that does not exist.
How the site is funded
We are a GetYourGuide affiliate partner and link to Trip.com for hotels. If you book a tour or a room through a link on this site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. There is no advertising, no sponsored placement and no paid inclusion in any ranking. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Roads close, hotels change hands, rules change. If something here is out of date or wrong, please tell us on the contact page — we would rather fix it than defend it.
